Since spring break, my upcoming trip to Maui, summer and the upcoming return of Victoria’s Secret swim, I thought I would bring you guys some of my favorite swimsuit brands!
To start off, I want to say that I look for swimsuits that are cute but also functional. I mean I do like to lay by the pool. But for the most part, you will find me in the ocean snorkeling, body boarding, wakeboarding, and wake surfing. Not all swimsuits can handle those types of activities so here are the ones that truly pass all of the tests. I may have a couple, not functional ones that are just too cute not to throw in.
1. First up and my ultimate favorite for many reasons is Pakaloha! These suits are made on Maui and beyond cute. They stay in place no matter what. With so many different cuts and styles, you can easily mix and match. They have every color of the rainbow and some adorable patterns as well. If I know, I’m going to be boogie boarding or wakeboarding; these are the suits I reach for. I tend to buy at least five new ones each time I go to Maui!
2. This next one is a classic to me for cute, functional, and different suits. Ripcurl has been a staple for me for several decades, and they can stand up to all my activities. One reason I love them so much is that every season they have so many new styles that are on trend but still functional. They also have all the fun prints. Last year I got a swimsuit covered in sharks and loved wearing it snorkeling! They also make amazing wetsuits which are a plus for spring wake surfing.
3. A surprising addition to my swimsuit rotation was Triangl. I got my first suit from them last year and was pleasantly surprised by how high quality it was. As well as how durable and functional it was for snorkeling and playing in the waves. Figuring out how to order the correct size took a lot of measuring and guessing but now that I have it down, I will be buying some more for our upcoming trip.
4. An obvious one based on the beginning of the post is Victoria’s Secret. For the price point, these suits were my favorite for so many years, and I can’t wait to see what they are going to bring back this year. I haven’t heard of a release date yet but know that it will be all online. The reason I like these suits is that they had so many options for coverage both on tops and bottoms and so many different one-piece styles. I hope this is still the case because I will have to grab some as soon as they are available.
5. Lastly is a brand that I wouldn’t say is functional and I tend never to wear it when I’m actually doing anything but laying around or going out. That is Frankie’s Bikinis; they are the softest material I have tried and are so fashionable. I have a one piece from them that I like to wear as a bodysuit when we’re out and about on vacations. I also have a high neck swimsuit from them that is so soft and adorable that I wear it more like a crop top.
What are some of your favorite swimsuit brands that I should try this year?
