My husband and I went to Maui a couple of months ago, and I’ve finally gotten around to going through all the pictures. While I got some pictures of some new beaches, I forgot to bring my camera to dinner, where duh Jessica all the sunset pictures will happen. So here is a mix of pictures from my Nikon and my iPhone! Trying to get some new perspectives from the last Maui photo diary.
I’ve been a little MIA on the blog because I’ve been enjoying my long vacation on Maui. Currently still in Maui enjoying the sunshine but thought I would check in to give a quick update before I do a full recap!
How I pack my carry on for a long trip, but a short flight is quite easy; it starts with the bag. Our next trip is for a two week vacation but only about a 6-hour flight, which is relativly short. When it’s an extended vacation like this, I usually pack a larger carry-on plus a checked bag. So my carry on like most people is my most valuable things and necessities. For international flights, I do change up my carry on bag and my packing in general but more of that to come later.
Here is possibly my last Maui post before we go on our vacation in May! Today I’m covering some of my favorite beaches and snorkeling spots on Maui. There are so many amazing beaches; these are the ones that we will go to multiple times on vacation.
Since I have been doing so many posts about what to do and where to go on Maui here are some of my favorite pics from the last 2 or 3 trips. Hope you enjoy!
After my last post about adventures on Maui, I thought it would be fun to do a post about all of our favorite places to eat on Maui.
In case you missed my last post my husband and I have been to the island almost 20 times. We have both been going since we were kids. This is a collective list of all the places we have to visit when we are on the island. Plus, I threw in a couple that we want to visit when we go back in a couple of months.
MAUI!! This is one of my favorite places to vacation too; I’ve been going since I was a little kid. I’ve been almost 20 times, so I’ve tried a lot of different charters and activities. When going, we always try to find a new activity to do. Here are the top four activities that we’ve done several times, and I always tell people they should do.
Don’t worry I’ll be doing separate posts on beaches, snorkeling, and where to eat as we get closer to our next trip to Maui in May.
A couple of years ago my husband and I finally made it to the island of Kauai. We went as an extension to our winter break from work, to find some much-needed sunshine from the gray Seattle weather.
Finding a deal during December on any of the Hawaiian Islands is hard to do, but somehow, I found one! We booked about 5-6 months out and were able to find a cute VRBO at a resort in Lihue town, Aqua Kauai Beach Resort. It was such a good deal we couldn’t pass it up. It had amazing views, three pools, and a long uninterrupted beach. You have to get the adult shaved ice. We didn’t realize this was an actual thing until our last day and were super sad about it, because who doesn’t love Koloa rum and shave ice!
Here are the places I would recommend for some of the best food and drinks on the island.
